This recount theater must either choose the recount to overthrow Berisha, or choose Berisha to overthrow the recount.
While Sali Berisha needs to delay the summer with press conferences and talk about the recount of votes, all the recount results show either correctness in the counting, or some vote theft among the DP candidates, but even those are not yet to the extent of delegitimizing each other's mandates.
In this whole story, what stands out is the calmness and indifference with which the socialists view this suicidal process within the opposition, which in this case is aptly described by the popular proverb: "He seeks to straighten his eyebrows and is gouging out his eyes", and the anxiety with which the opposition candidates follow him against each other.
These two photos are enough to understand that Berisha's outbursts about election manipulation have become an internal problem for the DP and not a problem for the integrity of the electoral process.
After all this, this theater of the opposition with the recount is incomprehensible. A recount is required when you are convinced that it overturns the result or at least discredits the process. The DP, which is already hostage to the “missionary” Berisha, is playing a disgusting theater, where on the one hand it pretends to agree with the rhetoric of election manipulation that Berisha claims to save his seat, and on the other hand it watches how they have stolen each other’s votes — and the whole problem of manipulation is being reduced to some banalities of personalized counting with each other.
The opposition has two options:
Or support Berisha's rhetoric about election manipulation and agree that what Berisha says is true and it seems like they are in a principled battle.
Or decide to support the recount of the ballot boxes and reflect on it.
The first way is easier and practiced after every election by them. The second has been forbidden by them, so they burned the boxes and did not open them again in 2011. But since the law now allows them, they can follow that path as well. But the second way is against the first. Opening the boxes and recounting rejects manipulation and damages the DP within itself.
So this recount theater must either choose the recount to overthrow Berisha, or choose Berisha to overthrow the recount. Both together, as is clearly seen, do not stand, as they are against each other. Except in the case when you have divided your mind that you are playing theater. Like Berisha!
