The cold war between the SP candidates and Edi Rama over the recount

Although the recount has not caused any surprises and has not corrected any relationship between candidates or parties, the official letter from the Socialist Party raises doubts that the Socialist candidates have not given up on their request to have their votes recounted, despite Edi Rama's statement that they should not be included in this debate.

The Socialists have unexpectedly become involved today in the game of recounting votes, not even for the party, but for the candidates. In an official request to the KAS, a secretary of the Socialist Party asked the KAS to count as votes for the candidates those ballots where the mark is not placed in the candidate's box, but somewhere outside it, but which clearly expresses the will.

The seemingly technical request actually shows an illegal interest within the Socialist Party in the candidates' votes and their ranking.

Although the recount has not caused any surprises and has not corrected any relationship between candidates or parties, the official letter from the Socialist Party raises doubts that the Socialist candidates have not given up on their request to have their votes recounted, despite Edi Rama's statement that they should not be included in this debate.

Of course, it is not a crime for the Socialists to also be involved in the race that has caught the Democratic Party and which is actually becoming a reason to reduce the DP's votes even more, unjustly taken by human error.

But the Socialist Party's deviation from Edi Rama's public stance raises questions about whether Rama was serious about that stance or whether he did it just to trap the Democrats and make them start demanding a vote count for the candidates, in order to incite internal strife.

Human errors so far clearly indicate that there is no vote deviation, as even small differences statistically follow the candidates with the most votes. The more votes they have, the more human errors they have, but in relation to the votes they are all almost at the same level.

In the DP camp, there seems to be a tendency for Berisha's people to expose errors in Tabaku's or Alimehmet's votes, but it is a very weak issue, as they have more errors because they have more votes. The same can be observed from the Socialist Party.

The only thing that was different so far was the political stance of the SP and the DP towards the recount for the candidates.

Today's stance of the SP and the negative response from the KAS shows that within the SP, Edi Rama is unable to restrain his people from implementing what he publicly asked of them. This is good news for those who want a more democratic party and, of course, not serious news for Edi Rama.
