Gone are the days when Berisha pressured and bargained for votes, power, campaigns, lists of deputies, etc... His fight with Basha remains the most absurd and shameful battle that the democrats of that party have seen in 33 years.
The struggle and battles of the Reestablishment and the "official" grouping of the Democratic Party will be remembered for a long time in the memory of the people. They will be remembered as the biggest scandal of the long post-communist transition, where two completely similar groups, emerging from a "derexhe", fight over...nothing. In fact, the whole "game" and what they want to achieve, like Berisha and Basha, is the fact that "like it or not, the membership". And this, according to them, depends on the "seal". So with a seal without a seal, it is important to support the base. In the beginning, it seemed as if the support was with Berisha, while for Basha there were only a few "calls" and a half-full hall. But the situation has changed.
The people in the PD have also clarified, their eyes have been "opened", and "they are not running away after berihai", the people say. Even in DP, the people, the membership and the militants are seeing how the leaders and clans of the two groups, riding in 100 thousand euro cars, and living in luxury villas and palaces, go to meet them, call them "come fill the boulevard, we overthrow the Rama government", and then everything goes back to where it was. Neither the members nor the militants can act for fools anymore, those who had the power filled their bags, got villas and properties, invested millions of euros in wealth, and now they are again seeking to return to power with sporadic abusive campaigns.
In a democracy, power is won and voted, and it is good to have rotations, as everywhere in the advanced democratic world. But what happens in Albania, where one party takes the right to govern with a "cork", and the other enters into bargains with the other, does not happen anywhere. Gone are the days when Berisha pressured and bargained for votes, power, campaigns, lists of deputies, etc... His fight with Basha remains the most absurd and shameful battle that the democrats of that party have seen in 33 years.
To fight for a piece of seal, to tear the party to pieces because you care about protecting yourself, family, wealth, and supporting clan, is shameless. And this stems from the two groups of that party, as both are part of the same "broken soup". Without the seal, Berisha thinks he can get some votes. But with the seal in his pocket, he believes he will "take power". But Basha has "put his mind to sleep" somehow. He doesn't have that much of a problem with the party's seal, as he thinks that the fact that Berisha is a "non-woman" from the USA can force the court to give him the decision to be the legitimate leader of that party. But the impasse still lies with the base of the party.
None of the parties, not even Berisha and Basha, are sure of their support and vote in the elections. What happened with the May 14 elections showed that the base of the Democratic Party is no longer so "stupid" as to align itself with neither Berisha nor Basha as it once did. And until things are clarified, until the seal finds its "master", and until the membership is enlightened about what is happening in the party, the electoral loss will certainly be part of the post-battles between the two groups.
