Professor Repishti was the responsible voice of the intellectual and humanist who opposed injustices, becoming a symbol of resistance to the communist regime in Albania.

In today's times, when concerns for the world and Albania are many, the departure from this life of a great thinker like Professor Sami Repishti marks a great loss. However, after the pain of physical departure, comes the period of reflection on his life and work, an inexhaustible wealth for the inspiration of future generations. Professor Repishti's life best corresponds to Edmund Burke's statement that: "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Professor Repishti was the responsible voice of the intellectual and humanist who opposed injustices, becoming a symbol of resistance to the communist regime in Albania. In prisons and forced labor camps, he testified to the power of the human spirit to resist evil. He understood that resistance to tyranny is a sacred duty and shaped this philosophy through his tireless efforts.

The establishment of the Albanian-American National Council and his testimony before the American Congress show his commitment to protect dignity and justice.

Through his works, such as "Pika Loti" and "Under the Shadow of Rozafa", Professor Repishti left us powerful evidence of human suffering and resilience, preserving a light of hope in the darkness of injustices. He saw freedom as a call to help others and to build a more just world.

The life of Professor Sami Repishti is a testament of extraordinary dedication to the ideals of freedom and humanity. He teaches us that freedom is not only a gift, but a duty that requires courage, honesty and sacrifice. As a son of Shkodra and an activist for freedom, he will always be seen walking towards the search for truth and justice, a model for all of us who seek to become better.
