Albania can reduce these risks from cyber attacks by entrusting cyber security to NATO structures.
Good morning, regarding the meeting organized in Tirana for Ukraine, we must clarify that: The more we engage in supporting Ukraine up to the co-production of armaments in Albania, the more we must ask NATO and its strategic partners for maximum support for increasing security from cyber attacks. This is for several main reasons:
1. Russia has declared Albania a hostile country, which made Albania a country with a high risk of cyber attacks from Russia,
2. Cyber attacks to paralyze hostile countries - are an aggressive part of its strategy.
3. Russia has been using cyber attacks for decades like it did against Estonia in 2007.
4. The US and the EU have increased their concerns about Russia's interference in political developments, which peak specifically during election campaigns.
5. Albania is in a hurry to apply e-government in all public services without building a high level of cyber security protection.
6. Albania is paying a significant cost from the blocking of critical parts of e-government and the publication of very sensitive data of institutions and especially of citizens, damaging the element of privacy from the attacks of Iranian hackers because of the Mujahideen.
As is currently happening, Albania is easily attackable and paralyzable by Russian and Iranian cyber attacks and not only by them.
Albania can reduce these risks from cyber attacks by entrusting cyber security to NATO structures.
