The DP must decide whether we will move towards the EU, or destroy the EU.

What remains unclear is the DP's battle to attack the SP for failing to bring Albania into the EU.

Finally, Albania’s political spectrum is normalizing. For the first time in these elections, we have a party in government that has declared its electoral objective to be European Union integration by 2030, and a major opposition party that is a strong critic of the European Union. The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, accused the European Union yesterday of contributing to the establishment of a dictatorship in Albania. So, in a way, Berisha’s objective is to change the European Union after he wins, while Rama’s objective is to change Albania by bringing it into the European Union.

Although neither may succeed in achieving the objective, at least we have a clear political tendency in relation to the European Union: a pro- and a anti-party side. So far, everything is clear, based on public statements.

What remains unclear is the DP's battle to attack the SP for failing to bring Albania into the EU.

Now, I don't understand this battle. On the one hand, they curse the European Union for helping the "dictatorship" in Albania, for keeping quiet about Berisha, for restricting human freedoms, and are even aligned with the Trumpists against him; on the other hand, they lament the plight of Edi Rama for not being able to bring Albania into the European Union.

But if they can't get it in, why are they upset, because they are not partisans of the European Union?

In an attempt to imitate Trumpism, they are now taking on an anti-European profile, so every failure of Edi Rama on the path to the EU is their victory.

Since for the first time one party in power is fighting the entire battle for EU integration, and the other party is fighting the battle against the EU, society has a clearer idea of where it should go.

The DP is not the first right-wing European party to oppose the EU. There are a number of anti-EU parties in Europe, on the right-wing spectrum, that aim to dismantle the EU and return to each country's national identity.

The problem with the DP is that it doesn't know what it wants. Sometimes it pretends to be with the EU, sometimes it pretends to be against it, sometimes it wants to disintegrate, sometimes it wants to block the path to the EU, sometimes it calls integration a failure, sometimes it calls it a crime... etc.

More or less like the USA until a few months ago: sometimes they hated it, sometimes they cursed it, sometimes they cloned it in their minds with another USA and so on. All this, because that party loves only one man: Sali Berisha. And according to his troubles, they love or hate the whole world.
