The insane political-judicial persecution of Erion Veliaj continues, arrested based on a literary dossier written by the aspiring philosopher, builder and violinist Ols Dado, appointed prosecutor in flagrant violation of the law of the time.
Even if the accusations of the fantasist Ols Dado stand, the recent decision of the Supreme Court to leave Veliaj in prison, when the investigation (collection of evidence) has been completed, deepens the culture of operating with double standards, distrust in the new justice system, and contradicts the recent decision of the Supreme Court itself, a decision that requires an in-depth justification for the extreme measure of detention.
For example, Sali Berisha's son-in-law, Jamabër Malltezi, is being tried at large on the same charges as Veliaj, and even tweets every day against the prosecutors and judges of his criminal case. Monika Kryemadhi, on the same charges as Veliaj, is not only being tried at large, but through her jokes she is trying to turn her criminal case into a farce. Erzen Breçani, on a more serious criminal charge, that of a structured criminal group, is not only being tried at large, but is laundering public money every week through dubious tenders.
At a time when Erion Veliaj is being held in prison without signing anything, but for the sake of his wife, Sali Berisha, with at least 32 proven murders on his back, not only is he free, but he cries every day about the deterioration of democracy and accuses the magistrates of his and his family's corruption file. These factual circumstances show that some are 'more equal' than others before the new justice system, which is not being freed from the ghost of the old one.
