The European Union has in reality been a very sensitive topic in Albanian opinion. As it is a natural identity vocation, but also a logic for seeking a "French-style protector" against the past mistakes of the Balozis coming from the East.
From the 90s onwards, in all the surveys conducted by Eurostat, the figure of support of the Albanian public for EU integration has not changed. But in the Albanian public reality, topics on the EU have always been kept out, have been ignored over the years. To leave this issue, as a category that either does not matter, or that belongs to the conspiratorial agendas that the old political tricksters have played.

But, most of these funds provided over the years have ended up in the dark corners of abuse, incompetence, or corruption.
Meanwhile, the failure to move forward with the integration agenda is an objective, a cost, or as they say in Brussels - the track record of the Albanian political caste in these 35 years.
That's why they have tried to ignore it, to put it aside, the big players who create the nightly political debate in the country. But on the other hand, they have attacked below the belt all these years almost all the ambassadors of the European Union in Tirana, up to high-ranking officials and politicians. Why has this happened? Because in reality they have been important and have strongly pushed the great storm of justice reform or even the political integration process.
The entry of the EU topic at the forefront of the debate occurred in 2025, namely in the elections of May 11. Edi Rama made it not only an electoral slogan, but also a political objective.
This announcement, made by the country's majority leader in his battle for a fourth term as prime minister, was an opportunity to turn it into a major debate topic.
To turn it into a real confrontation between politics, where one could talk about realism, problems, whether it is a realistic objective or a utopia to divert the real debate.
But no, it didn't happen. The opposition didn't even approach this issue, accusing Edi Rama of trying to play with illusions. While they themselves were fascinated by "magician Latif" alias Chris Lacivita from McKeesport, Minnesota.

Të cilët do të vinin me helikopterë për të marrë Edi Ramën, e më pas “the Big Come Back”-rikthimi i doktorit në krye të vendit, ishte thjesht një formalitet. Siç ishte heqja e Non Grata-s, që sipas shumë e shumëve është e hequr, vetëm se nuk po guxon ta thojë askush.
Më pas erdhi Ramaduro si përrallë e re, që u shkri si kripa në ujë si pasojë e vizitës së Edi Ramësn ë Uashington për Bordin e Paqes.
Atëherë u nxorrën fabulat e reja të betejës imagjinare, të cilët mbanin emra të çuditshëm, fiks si në serialet fantasy të Netflix-it. IBAR dhe COELA, a thua se ishin anije kozmike aliene, që si në konspiracionet e Cakos, do të vinin të bllokonin narkoshtetin e Tiranës.
Valëvitja e flamujve gjerman në “molotov party” të guerriljes berishjane, ju bashkëngjit nxjerrja në banaqet e darkës së argumentit BE, të cilin edhe pse e kanë pasur aty Non Stop, e kanë injoruar madje edhe përqeshur.
Siç kanë përqeshur Romana Vlahutinin që fliste për peshkaqenët, të cilën e akuzuan për korrupsion ngaqë donte të ngrinte drejtësinë ndaj të korruptuarve. Siç kanë gjuajtur poshtë brezit Luigji Soreca-n, duke ndjellë ekzistencën e videove erotike që i kishin vetëm në kokën e tyre, apo edhe gjithë të tjerët.
Fabula ishte pak a shumë e tillë: COELA nuk do ta kalojë IBAR-in, pasi nuk e lë Gjermania. Nisi kështu edhe frenezia e ekspertizës së çështë IBAR dhe kush është ekuipazhi i anijes kozmike të sofistikuar COELA.
Pati edhe variacione të tjera mbi temën; si për shembull IBAR do e kalojë vetëm Mali i Zi, apo edhe versione më konspirative.
Por kur COELA kaloi IBAR-in dhe Edi Rama u puth me Marta Kosin në Pallatin Berlaymont në Rue de la Loi të Brukselit, duket se gjërat kanë marrë tjetër drejtim.
Duke mbajtur valsin gjerman që kërcehet kundër Edi Ramës, e shtuar një erë oqeani që vjen nga Vendet e Ulëta, përkatësisht nga bregu i Hagës-kryeqendrës administrative të Holandës.
A thua se nëse do donte Gjermania, pale edhe Holanda, nuk mund të bllokohej Tirana në provimin me emrin e çuditshëm IBAR. Në provime me Brukselin kanë ngelur shumë vende, qoftë edhe Mali i Zi disa herë, që tani është në krye të axhendës. i kushton gjë një vendi të madh si Gjermania që të thotë jo, kur në realitet kanë bërë edhe gjëra më të forta se kaq. Mjafton të shikosh një ndërtesë hijerëndë në kryeqendrën e Holandës që ta kuptosh.
