What if the MPs go crazy?

What if the MPs go crazy?
Parliament of Albania

What can the government say to the opposition that gives it the stick in its hand? Do you want security? Okay, rallies are banned indefinitely, a curfew is declared, the police check every little person on the street, etc.

The question has been arising in political philosophy since the end of the last century.

I was reminded of this question today at lunch when some friends and I were munching on a salep in a bar where the television was on and MPs were discussing the US embassy's announcement warning American citizens to be careful that they could be used as firing ranges for attacks by forces linked to Iran.

What did the deputies say?

The opposition MPs said that the government should take security measures, convene the National Security Council! I opened my eyes wide, I almost lost my mind. The first time I hear that an opposition wants to put into effect the actions of agencies that specialize in security!

What happens? On the one hand, they announce a rally, demonstration, or protest march two weeks later, on the other hand, they ask the prime minister to take security measures!

Unheard of!

On the other hand, the foreign minister, with strange certainty, says the situation is completely under control, there is no danger. Uaaaauuu! I said, how does this guy know what is being cooked in the secret war kitchens far away. How does he give us this assurance, as if he knows what those who the embassy says beware of are doing!

I watched the screen and inhaled the salep every now and then.

Over there, someone was banging on the bar door in vain!
