The English Football Association (FA) has no intention of making changes to the management of the national team, even though England was eliminated in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
According to British media, FA leaders continue to trust the project with Thomas Tuchel and are determined to support the German coach for the next cycle, with the aim of him leading the "Three Lions" at the 2028 European Championship.
England were knocked out of the semi-finals after losing 2-1 to Argentina. Tuchel's side took the lead through Anthony Gordon but were unable to hold on. Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez struck in the dying minutes to secure Argentina a place in the final against Spain.
After the match, Tuchel faced a wave of criticism from the media, pundits and English fans. His tactical decisions, particularly the substitutions and the switch to a more defensive formation in the second half, were considered to be one of the main reasons that gave Argentina control of the match and the opportunity to overturn the result.
However, despite the negative reactions, the FA is not expected to take any action against the German coach. The federation remains convinced that Tuchel is the right man to lead the English national team and intends to continue its cooperation with him in the run-up to EURO 2028.
