Journalist Elkier Bushkolaj has commented on the functioning of SPAK and the progress of investigations into the most sensational affairs in the country.
According to him, after several years of operation, the Special Prosecution Office can no longer justify itself with the time needed for consolidation, while he raised accusations of a lack of will in investigating issues that, according to him, lead to the main decision-makers.
Bushkolaj focused on the incinerators' file, claiming that it has been fragmented into several proceedings, which, according to him, has resulted in low sentences and has not led the investigations to the full chain of responsibility.
He also mentioned the "Partizani" file, stating that SPAK has built the accusation on the signatures of the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, while, according to him, it has not applied the same standard to other decision-making signed by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The journalist also raised questions about the "Xibraka" file, tower permits, and investigations into electoral crime, claiming that not all investigative tools were used to verify voter records, telephone records, and other elements that, according to him, could help uncover suspected cases of election manipulation.
Bushkolaj added that a significant part of SPAK's results to date are based on materials received from international partners and intercepts of the SKY ECC platform, claiming that without these materials, the institution's balance sheet would be much more limited.
"In the incinerators file, a big file: 8% bonus for a company that did not exist, 17 decisions within a day, fap, fap, fap, fap. Where is SPAK? In the Xibraka file, who is the unidentified person that SPAK cannot find, at a time when the government identifies thousands of protesters, and even identifies protesters with criminal records? Where is SPAK that cannot be found? In the tower file, who is the man who signed the permits for the towers where the drug cartel's money was laundered? Because how well did SPAK find that Mr. Berisha signed a decision from which his son-in-law benefited. Meanwhile, they do not find any decision by Edi Rama from which criminal cartels that laundered drug money benefited.
