The prosecutor who is pursuing the case of Erion Veliaj seems to be engaged daily in creating fake news about Veliaj's alleged legal battles against the prosecution. Just as it was invented last week, today there was such fake news. The news that is initially spread by the media outlets controlled by Olsi Dado, is sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously reproduced by other portals.
Today the fake news was that Veliaj had requested the lifting of the seizure order on his house and the famous judge Bani had rejected it.
In fact, nothing like that happened.
Simply put, the prosecutor seeks to produce news before Veliaj's trial in the High Court and goes to report to the GJKKO on the progress of the investigations. After he finishes the report, Judge Bani — who apparently has the ambition to get his name in the news — repeats the decision that Erion Veliaj deserved the security measure that was given to him at the beginning of the investigations.
So, it is simply a propaganda campaign to bombard public opinion with news produced by Olsi Dado and Judge Bani, who apparently want to influence the High Court not to overturn the decision they made, arresting the Mayor of Tirana without even filing any charges.
This media lynching, accompanied by invented procedures, is a kind of gymnastics to prepare for the battle in the Supreme Court and shows at best a personal dedication of the prosecutor and the judge, as well as a personal hatred towards a suspect who has not yet been charged — which is beyond any professional standards.
To make their lynching even more justified, they interpret the European Union report as praising them for Veliaj's arrest, which is not stated in a single line or letter. But since SPAK is spoken well of, they justify themselves by saying that SPAK stood up for Erion Veliaj and that they are receiving thanks, which is a humiliation even for the intelligence of the European Union.
Even the casting of lots at the Supreme Court is accompanied by prior blackmail against judges, listing precisely this propaganda campaign they produce with fake news about processes not requested by Veliaj.
Last week they invented that Veliaj had offered money as a guarantee to get out of prison. Today they invented that Veliaj requested that the seizure of his house be lifted, but it was refused.

Today, they even added another detail to the spectacle. In parallel with the fabricated trial, they summoned Plarent Ndreca to the prosecutor's office to have him photographed in front of SPAK for something unrelated to his cases, but rather to his closeness to Veliaj.
The reason is that a week ago, Ndreca attacked the ILD for being secretive and allowing the destruction of the standard of investigation and trial by SPAK and GJKKO. Apparently, they want to show him that they are also the ILD and can deduct his grade for behavior.
And to understand that this is a lynching standard and not a unifying one towards the entire political class, just take a look at Fatmir Mediu's 24-hour campaign today, posting photos from every Washington cafe or hallway with whoever he can find, complaining about justice in Albania.
Erion Veliaj is still without charges and simply suspected of conflict of interest with his wife's work, while Fatmir Mediu is accused of killing 26 people due to a history of corruption with Sali Berisha's son.
The first has been in prison for several months, in solitary confinement as if he were a murderer, where he is not allowed to meet anyone except his family, while the second, who is accused of murder, is free, in the US, exerts pressure on the US and is on the Parliament's list of millionaires.
Both are subjects of SPAK and GJKKO. One is a murderer at large, the other is treated as a murderer, even though there is no charge and he is only suspected of his wife benefiting from businesses that have worked with the Municipality. At least unify the standard for when a person is arrested: either make them arrested like Erion Veliaj when they are suspected, or make them like Fatmir Mediu who are not arrested even when they are accused of murder.
