A 65-year-old man was shot dead...
A serious incident was recorded this evening in Lezha, where a 65-year-old man identified as Gjergji Tusha was found dead near the Tale hydroelectric dam. Initial information indicates that the 65-year-old was killed with a firearm. The police also emphasize that signs of violence were found on the victim's body.
The 65-year-old had lost contact with his family and it was his son who notified the police about his father's disappearance at around 2:40 p.m. After launching a search, the police found the 65-year-old a few hours later on the banks of the Mat River, in Planë, Lezha.
Meanwhile, the investigation team and the police are at the scene, working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify and then arrest the perpetrators.
"Lezha / Preliminary information / At around 14:40, citizen A. Gj. called the Operations Room, informing that she had lost contact with her father, citizen Gj. T., 65 years old, resident of Pllanë, Lezha. Immediately, the Police services began searching for him.
After several hours of searching, at around 17:30, on the banks of the Mat River, in Pllanë, Lezha, citizen Gj. T. was found without signs of life. From the preliminary examination, the victim has signs of violence, including a wound to the body, suspected to have been caused by a firearm.
A special investigative group has been established, which is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances, legal documentation, and the identification and capture of the perpetrator(s).
Meanwhile, the Police services and those of the National Security Force, Shkodra Unit, are searching the area with the aim of capturing the perpetrator(s ), the police announced.
