The Tirana Court has deemed the arrest lawful and has imposed the security measure of "prison arrest" on four people suspected of illegal arms trafficking, who were advertising through digital platforms.

The arrested are Glorian Nezaj, Rezarto Rumi, Klevin Caushi and Ardian Caushi. According to the Prosecution, they are suspected of dealing in firearms, displaying and promoting them through social networks.

During the closed-door session, the prosecutor in the case, Ridvan Suka, stated that the investigation began after several suspicious communications on social media, where a video was also identified showing ten Kalashnikov-type automatic weapons.

After securing the video, the Prosecution registered criminal proceedings in June 2025 and ordered wiretapping and covert surveillance, which lasted for several months. According to the prosecution, the suspected criminal activity was carried out mainly through the encrypted application Signal.

As part of the investigation, a controlled purchase of a pistol was carried out on January 12, 2026. On January 19, another purchase of a semi-automatic weapon was made, while an attempt to sell three other weapons, one of which was equipped with a silencer, was later documented.

During the search of a private premises used by the suspects, the Police found and seized firearms, bulletproof vests, and radios, which bore the inscription "Bondi".

Investigations into this matter continue to uncover other individuals involved and to fully document the suspected arms trafficking network.
