Two young men have been arrested by police in Kukës, accused of distributing drugs.
The blue uniforms signaled a stop sign to a "Seat" vehicle, in which 3 young people were traveling. One of these citizens ran away as soon as he noticed the Police vehicle.
A 22-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested for driving without a license.
"Following the intensive work of the Kukës DVP structures to prevent and combat criminal activities, checks have been carried out in several areas of the city and as a result, a case of drug sales has been cracked."
The Police Services, at the place called "Ura e Hasit", have stopped a "Seat" vehicle, in which 3 citizens were traveling. One of these citizens ran away as soon as he noticed the Police vehicle.
During the search of this vehicle, the Police services found and seized as material evidence a quantity of suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa.
Following the actions in this case, the 16-year-old who was driving the vehicle, without a driving license, and citizen MM, 22 years old (the owner of the vehicle) were arrested, and criminal proceedings were initiated against the 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle, as the investigations suspect that in collaboration with each other, they were selling narcotics, in doses, in the city of Kukës.
Work is underway to identify and capture the citizen who fled and to document this criminal activity.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action," the police announced.
