The Elbasan Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on 10 people arrested as part of a group suspected of distributing narcotics, hit during a police operation over the weekend.
The operation, conducted under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office and with the support of the FNSH, was simultaneously extended to Përrenjas, Librazhd and Elbasan. As a result, in addition to the arrested persons, 7 others have been declared wanted.
During the operation, the police seized significant amounts of narcotics and money suspected of illegal activity, specifically "8 kg of cannabis sativa, 100 grams of cocaine and a sum of money."
According to police reports, the investigation into the cocaine distribution group began about 10 months ago and was conducted through undercover agents and video documentation. Also, dozens of homes in the areas involved were searched during the police operation.
This action follows previous operations codenamed "Network" and "Temple", while authorities indicate that the police continue to work to capture the wanted persons and identify others involved.
