New details have emerged from the serious accident that occurred yesterday on the Peqin-Elbasan national road, in the village of Bishqem, where 2 people lost their lives and 5 others were injured. Meanwhile, 9 others were reported with minor injuries.
A vehicle collided with a passenger van driven by 44-year-old Anesti Bufi, and it is learned that the victims are the driver and passenger of the vehicle, a mother and son. The victims were identified as Fatbardha Shahini and Klodian Shahini.
The impact was so severe that it destroyed the vehicle and trapped the victims inside. Unfortunately, both died at the scene.
It is reported that three of the five injured have been taken to the Trauma Hospital for specialized assistance as their condition has worsened. While authorities are investigating the causes of the incident.
