A 35-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police after being caught with narcotics and cash.
The young man had found a special strategy for distributing the drugs. While being kept under surveillance by the police, he was seen hiding the narcotics in the middle of the hazelnut plantation in the area of Vairano Scalo, and by another Albanian.
During the surveillance of the suspect, officers noticed that he moved every day from Vairano Patenora, accompanied by another person in his car, to the village of Caianello municipality.
The Carabinieri conducted a search of the "Volkswagen Passat", registered to a rental car company, driven by a 24-year-old man, while the 35-year-old man was a passenger in the vehicle.
After a search of the car and a physical search, 1,710 euros in cash was found. A subsequent search of the hazel grove where the man had been seen hanging several times revealed a glass jar with 56 doses of cocaine, weighing a total of 100 grams, in the trunk of a tree.
Arrested for possession of narcotics, he was later transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. The 24-year-old, also of Albanian origin, was reported and is being investigated at large for collaboration in crime.
