Two people jumped into the Vesdre River from a building located at 16B rue du Prince in Verviers in Belgium to escape police.
They jumped out of the window to escape a federal police intervention aimed at dismantling a cannabis plantation.
As part of a case under investigation, the federal judicial police of Liège discovered the remains of a plantation in a hangar on rue de Droixhe in Liège and a marijuana plantation with approximately 1,000 plants, in a warehouse on rue du Prince in Verviers, where two individuals of Albanian nationality threw themselves into the river, the Liège public prosecutor's office said.
"An individual of Albanian nationality was on de Droixhe Street, where he was busy cleaning up plantation waste." In total, 5 people were arrested during the operation.
