A 21-year-old Albanian man was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking during a carabinieri check in Nocera Umbra.
The young man was stopped while traveling as a passenger in a car driven by another person, who was later found to be unrelated to him. The 21-year-old's nervous behavior aroused the suspicions of the officers, who decided to conduct a full check.
During the search, they found approximately five grams of cocaine, already divided into doses ready for sale, as well as 550 euros in cash. Further investigations led officers to a facility where the young man had found temporary shelter.
There, during a second check, they found another dose of cocaine, several grams of hashish and drug packaging materials, Italian media reports.
The Spoleto court confirmed the arrest with a summary judgment and ordered the young man to remain in Umbria for one year, until the conclusion of the process, and then to leave.
