Genta Gosa, the wife of Fatos Gosa, testified at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, within the framework of the "Golden Bullet" file, which is related to the murder of Andi Zylyfi.
During the hearing, she stated that at the time the incident occurred, her husband was arrested in Tirana. According to her, Fatos Gosa and the victim had a good relationship and there were no conflicts between them.
"Fatos Gosa was arrested in Tirana at the time. I met Burbuqe, a relative of the victim, and I told him that Fatos did not do it. If he has a hand in the murder of Andi Zylyfi, I told him he killed my sons. Burbuqe told me to shut up, how about you kill my sons, if it were me he said I would not have done it. I told him to shut up because my husband did not do it. Tafiku and Burbuqe were present there. We had been thinking about going and talking for a while. I told him my husband did not do it. I have been married to Fatos for 26 years, we have not had any problems of hostility with Andi Zylyfi. Our relations have been good," emphasized Genta Gosa.
How was Andi Zylyfi killed?
The murder of Andi Zylyfi occurred in the village of Përparim, on the Elbasan-Peqin national axis. The 26-year-old was shot while he was in a "Golf" type vehicle, along with another young man.
Despite attempts to provide him with medical assistance, Zylyfi arrived at the hospital with no signs of life. Ardit Uruçi, 23, a resident of the same village, was also seriously injured in the shooting.
According to preliminary suspicions, the assassination was related to a clash between criminal groups, while the perpetrators fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Andi Zylyfi had family ties to some of the victims of an assassination attempt that occurred in Bradashesh, Elbasan in 2018, where Endrit Alibej, Arben Dylgjeri, and Turkish citizen Erdal Duranay were killed.
Zylyfi was the son of Endrit Alibej's aunt, who was allegedly executed for drug dealing. The 26-year-old himself had recently returned from emigration at the time of the murder.
