Aleks Ndreka, otherwise known as "Leksi i druve", has been extradited from Italy to Albania, where he was wanted as part of Operation "Metamorphosis".
In July 2023, he was ordered to be held in absentia under the security measure of "prison arrest" on suspicion of involvement in a structured criminal group, as well as providing conditions and means to commit murders.
According to the police, 49-year-old Aleks Ndreka is accused of having obtained information on the location of 3 Albanian citizens, having organized and coordinated his associates, organizing ambushes, with the aim of killing them.
"State Police/Continues as a result of close cooperation with international partners, the operation codenamed "The Wanted". He secured the conditions for the murder of three Albanian citizens in 2017, the 49-year-old is extradited from Italy.
Following the coordination of operational actions, with Italian counterparts, through specialists from Interpol Tirana and specialists from Interpol Rome, during this phase of the international operation codenamed "The Wanted", the procedure for the extradition from Italy to Albania of citizen AN alias AD, 49 years old, was finalized.
The 49-year-old was internationally wanted because the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, in 2023, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.

Who is Aleks Ndreka?
Aleks Ndreka (Deda), otherwise known as "Leksi i druve", is considered a well-known figure in the criminal world, mainly in the Lezha and Shkodra areas. He is one of 15 people wanted by SPAK as part of Operation "Metamorphosis".
According to the investigative file, former SP MP Arben Ndoka is suspected of having requested Ndreka's murder, as he considered him involved in assisting in the execution of his brother, Aleksandër Ndoka.
In the same file, communications have been revealed that show that Behar Bajri had engaged Aleks Ndreka and Prek Kodra to gather information on the location of Dorian Duli and Genc Tafilaj. The information obtained was forwarded to Bajri through the "Sky" application, while the latter activated a group of armed individuals to carry out the attacks.
In a statement, Tafilaj claimed that during Indrit Rrajë's funeral he met with Aleks Ndreka and Dorian Duli.
Meanwhile, investigations show that Ndreka himself has been the target of several assassination attempts, including sophisticated methods such as the use of drones, which have failed. It is suspected that these attempts are related to previous conflicts, including suspicions of his and Ardian Nikulaj's involvement in setting up Durim Bami for the execution of Aleksandër Ndoka.
The first assassination attempt against him was recorded on June 30, 2020, while the second in December of the same year, when an Audi vehicle was shot, leaving him injured. Despite these events, he managed to survive.
After these attacks, Ndreka left Albania, stating to the investigative group that he had no direct conflicts with specific individuals. He returned to the country on March 6, 2022, but just a day later he faced another assassination attempt, as soon as he left a bar.
In March 2022, he escaped another attack, this time thanks to a down jacket that cushioned the impact of the bullets. After that, Ndreka was questioned by SPAK, which requested protection for him and his family.
Authorities set up a 24-hour security presence near his residence, and several other attempts to eliminate him by drone have been recorded. In one case, officers patrolling the area spotted a drone and called for reinforcements, revealing another assassination attempt.
The last drone attempt was reported on April 7, and despite the establishment of an investigative group, no results have been achieved to identify the perpetrators or the origin of the device.
