
A 52-year-old man has been arrested by police in Berat after continuing to sell narcotics, while he was under "house arrest" for the same activity.
Citizen AZ, a resident of Poliçan, was placed in handcuffs after a physical and apartment search, where police found and seized quantities of cocaine and Cannabis Sativa, two cutting tools and ammunition.
According to verifications carried out by the investigation structures, the 52-year-old was under house arrest, previously imposed for criminal activity in the field of narcotics. Despite this measure, he continued to distribute drugs in doses.
The operation was carried out by the Trafficking and Narcotics Investigation Section in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force.
"A citizen who sold Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa was arrested, while being under the security measure "House Arrest", for the same activity. The arrested person also possessed cutting tools and ammunition.
Quantities of narcotics Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa, 2 cutting tools and ammunition were seized.
Following the controls and operational work, with the aim of cracking down on illegalities and guaranteeing public safety, specialists from the Trafficking and Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, cracked a case of illegal possession of weapons and the sale of narcotics in doses.
Citizen AZ, 52 years old, resident of Poliçan, was arrested in connection with the case.
During the physical search and during the search of this citizen's apartment, the narcotics Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa were found, as well as 2 cutting tools and live ammunition.
Meanwhile, further verifications revealed that he was under "house arrest" for criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
