Tirana Police has reacted with an official announcement regarding the alarm about the placement of a quantity of explosives in the parking lot of the Plaza Hotel in the center of Tirana.
Police say they were notified by a member of the hotel staff after a call she received about the quantity of explosives.
The police have evacuated the hotel staff and customers, and have begun checks, including the engineering forces. Meanwhile, from the images circulating on the network, it seems that the customers were not even given time to get dressed. One of the tourists went outside with a slave.

Police notification
"Around 19:35, a staff member of a hotel on "Abdi Toptani" Street called the Tirana DVP Operations Room, claiming that someone unknown had informed her about the placement of a quantity of explosives in the parking lot of this hotel.
Immediately, numerous police forces arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and evacuated the hotel's occupants. Engineer forces were also notified to control and verify the information.
"At the end of the inspection and investigative actions, you will have more detailed information about the case," the police statement said.
