Genc Maloku, the father of the deceased, Andi Maloku, the driver who died in the mafia assassination attempt on former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja at the Shkozet overpass on November 1, 2019, testified at the GJKKO.
He recounted the last conversation with his son, recalling that after the assassination, the 26-year-old called him and said: "I'm sorry, Dad," he told me, "they shot me."
"Arjan Ndoj was a prosecutor in Durrës at that time. On the day of the incident, I was at home, my son picked me up. "I'm sorry, Dad," he said, "they've hit me."
It was 4:30, 5. I didn't see the time exactly. I thought it was a joke. What a joke. Afternoon hours. I went to the military hospital, not to the scene of the incident.
I communicated with the boy. We were walking, we weren't going fast, except when a car came by. They had been to a restaurant before, the boy was outside.
The prosecutor and Rrumi were in the vehicle with the boy. After the incident, I met with the prosecutor, he came to my house. Rrumi was still in the hospital, the prosecutor was better, he came to my house. After 7 days, the boy passed away," said Genc Maloku.
Genci Maloku also asked Plaurent Dervishaj, the accused mastermind of this assassination, the reason for his son's murder. Dervishaj responded by saying that he should come and meet him in person.
Plaurent Dervishaj: When Rrumi mentioned my name, did he tell you anything else?
Genci Maloku: No, he didn't know the reasons at all. I know Arben Mërkur, I know he was called Maneci. I received a message on my phone from Plaurenti Dervishaj. He wrote to me, "I'm Plaurenti." I filed a report at Police Station 6. Okay, son, why did you want to kill me without doing anything to me?
Plaurent Dervishaj: Come meet me one day and I'll explain.
Genci Maloku: Why did you kill my son? What did the son do to you?
Plaurent Dervishaj: Did Rrumi mention my name to you?
