Two people have been arrested by the police in Tropoja, after they were circulating with firearms and cold weapons. Police radios were also found during the searches. The two arrested are: Arjan Prengzaj, 43, and Avdi Ismajlgeci, 44.
It is learned that the police have seized 2 firearms, 1 silencer, 6 police radios, 4 cutting tools (knives), 2 axes, 5 binoculars, 1 multifunctional jacket and combat ammunition.
The firearms will be sent to the Institute of Scientific Police to determine whether they were used in any criminal event.
The materials were passed on to the Kukes General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions.
"They were walking around armed, with firearms and cold weapons and equipped with police radios and night vision goggles. Two citizens were arrested."

In continuation of the work to prevent and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, based on information received on the operational route that two citizens were traveling in a vehicle and armed, the services of the Tropoja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the operational services of the Kukës DVP, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Velishti".
As part of the operation, the following citizens were captured and arrested in flagrante delicto:
AP, 43 years old
AI, 44 years old, both residents of the village of Lëkurtaj, Tropoja
These citizens were caught in the place called Velisht, Bujan Administrative Unit, Tropoja, where during the search of the "Mitsubishi" type vehicle, owned by citizen AP, in which they were traveling, the Police services found and seized as material evidence: 2 firearms, 2 knives, 2 police radios, 2 small axes, 1 pair of binoculars and combat ammunition.
Following the operation, during the search of citizen AP's apartment, the following items were found and seized: 4 police radios, combat ammunition of various calibers, magazines, 4 pairs of binoculars, 2 knives, a multifunctional jacket like those of the Police, and a silencer.
Meanwhile, in the apartment of citizen AI, 2 radios similar to those of the Police were found.
"The firearms will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute to determine whether they were used in any criminal event," the police announced.
