The sexual scandal in Përmet with a 16-year-old minor has caused an "earthquake" in the ranks of the Gjirokastër District Police. The Chief of Crimes at the Përmet Police Station, Dhurim Çenko, has been suspended from his post after the publication of videos featuring police officers Pajtim Baka and Artur Ago, the latter filmed committing obscene acts with the minor.
It is officially learned that, in connection with this scandal, the Gjirokastra Local Police Directorate has suspended the head of the Përmet Crimes Department, Dhurim Çenko, from duty, and has launched a disciplinary investigation against him for serious disciplinary violations, based on Law No. 82/2024 "On the State Police". These violations are considered to have serious consequences.
The General Directorate of the State Police, through the Directorate of Professional Standards, has decided to suspend Çenko until the conclusion of the disciplinary investigation. The structures of the Regional Directorate of the Vlora-Gjirokastër AMP have been notified of all police officers suspected of being involved, including Çenko.
Meanwhile, the First Instance Court in Gjirokastra has ordered the security measure "indefinite imprisonment" for Pajtim Baka, Dhurim Çenko's colleague, while another police officer from the Tepelena Police Station, Artur Ago, has been declared wanted./ Pamphlet
