4 parcels with 2848 cannabis plants in Shkodër, Pukë, Malësi te Madhe and Vaun e Dejës are destroyed.
The suspected author of the cultivation of 74 of these plants, in the place called "Lugu i thive", is identified and declared wanted.
"Within the framework of the national mega-operation "Clean Territory", against the cultivation of narcotic plants, the Shkodër Local Police Directorate and the commissariats subordinate to it, have intensively followed the controls in very difficult mountainous terrain throughout the territory of the district, with the aim of ascertaining and cracking down on cases of this criminal activity. During this phase of the mega-operation:
- the services of the Shkodër Police Station identified and declared the citizen Gj. Sh., 48 years old, after allegedly cultivating 74 cannabis plants, in the place called "Lugu i Thive". Efforts are underway to capture the 48-year-old. Also, these services found and destroyed in the territories of the administrative units Pult, Shosh and Postribë, 1,986 other cannabis plants;
- the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Station found and destroyed 508 cannabis plants in the territory of the Shkrel administrative unit;
- the services of the Vau i Deja Police Station found and destroyed 182 cannabis plants in the territory of the Shllak administrative unit;
- the services of the Pukë Police Station found and destroyed 98 cannabis plants in the territory of the Luf-Qerret administrative unit.
The work continues for the identification, capture and prosecution of the perpetrators of the cultivation of these narcotic plants. The "Clean Territory" mega-operation continues," the police announced.
