The murder of 68-year-old Frederik Radi in Lajthiza of Mirdita continues to remain unsolved. Over 10 people, mostly residents of the village where the crime took place, were accompanied and interrogated by the police over the course of 24 hours, but their testimony did not help the investigative team to solve the incident.
The suspicions are that the crime may have occurred due to some conflict that may have had victims with some resident of the village over property issues, but it has not yet been possible to prove something like that.
The 68-year-old man was found murdered on August 20 by his daughter in the apartment in Lajthiza, who was spending the summer months in his hometown. He was shot with a barrage of bullets from the window of the room where he was sleeping. The girl had lost contact with her father for 2 days and had headed towards the village of Lajthizë, but found him murdered.
