Korça Police are implementing a decision of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), within the framework of a criminal proceeding involving four political entities with a nationwide reach.
Confidential sources indicate that representatives of these entities are under investigation for electoral crimes, mainly related to vote buying during the electoral process, BW reports.
In accordance with the court decision, the police are conducting searches in the homes of the suspects, while vehicles and several mobile phones that may contain important evidence for the investigation have been seized.
According to the same sources, one of the entities under investigation is the Social Democratic Party, which was part of the electoral race in the May 11 elections.
Investigative actions on the ground are being coordinated by a prosecutor appointed by SPAK, who is responsible for monitoring electoral crime cases in this region.
