" The police operation codenamed "Group" is being finalized, to crack down on criminal activity in the field of trafficking and distribution of narcotics in the Elbasan region.
The operation was carried out by the Narcotics and Illicit Trafficking Investigation Sector at the Elbasan Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, with the support of the National Security Force, Fier Unit.
As part of the operation, a total of 24 arrest warrants were issued by the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office.
16 arrest warrants are executed, (8 arrest warrants were executed during today's operation and 8 arrest warrants were executed during the one-year investigation period).
Work continues to locate and capture 8 other citizens, who were not found in their homes during the operation.

The Structures for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illicit Trafficking of the Elbasan Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, after an investigation conducted with special methods for several months, finalized the police operation codenamed "Group", which focused on cracking down on citizens involved in the trafficking and distribution of narcotics in the cities of Elbasan, Librazhd and Prrenjas.
During the operation conducted this morning, it was possible to execute 8 detention orders for citizens I. Sh., 38 years old; RZ, 52 years old; G. Ç., 23 years old; AB, 49 years old; NS, 39 years old; LF, 33 years old; JI, 31 years old and M. Ç., 32 years old.
Also, during the operation, the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen RH, 39 years old, was made, and the wanted citizen PQ, 54 years old, was captured, declared wanted by the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës for the criminal offense of "Waste Management", committed in collaboration.
Also, 27 Court decisions for searches of various homes and premises were executed.
The Investigation Structures of the Elbasan DVP, under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, continue their work for the complete legal documentation of this criminal activity, as well as for the capture of the wanted citizens.
"The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
