Greek media have discovered new details from the wounding of 51-year-old Andrea Kalemi in the prison of "Koridhalos" in Greece.
The 28-year-old Egyptian author was paid to kill Kalem and hit him with a scalpel in order to cut the carotid artery.
The event took place on December 14, shortly before Kalemi was released from prison where he was held for the charge of illegal entry into Greek territory.
He was arrested after recovering from the August 9 assassination attempt, where he was seriously wounded by a gun on the Greek island of Paxos.
According to the Greek media, the Egyptian author had hidden the scalpel in the palm of his hand and hit Kalem in the chest, neck and arm.
Despite being hit, Kalem was somehow able to defend himself as an inmate saw the Egyptian's movements and warned Kalem.
According to "Espresso", the Egyptian was acting under the orders coming from another Greek prison of "special character".
