New details have emerged from a serious accident that occurred this afternoon on the Korçë-Ersekë road. It is learned that a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old man hit a 44-year-old mother and her 3-year-old child.
The mother and the minor were rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately the 3-year-old did not survive the injuries he sustained and died in the hospital. Meanwhile, the mother is receiving the necessary treatment and is out of danger.
On the other hand, the police have arrested the driver and the investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.

At around 16:30, on the Korça-Ersekë road, in the village of Kamenicë, a “Nissan” vehicle, driven by citizen Sh. V., 76 years old, hit two pedestrians (mother and son), citizen Sh. M., about 44 years old, and her minor son, about 3 years old.
As a result of the accident, the minor child died in the hospital, while citizen Sh. M is receiving medical assistance, out of danger to her life.
Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector accompanied the driver of the vehicle, citizen Sh. V., to the Police Station for the performance of procedural actions.
The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
