Hysen Meta, the 25-year-old son of the victim Pëllumb Meta, testified before the police that he was the person who committed the shooting.
Journalist Sara Demushi said that the three children were amateurs in covering the murder.

While the father was lying on the sofa, Hysen Meta testifies that he told him to stand up and then shot him four times. According to him, the sister was in the room when the incident happened, while the other brother entered the moment he heard the shots. He says that the mother has no knowledge of the crime.
