
Two brothers have been arrested by Saranda police as they are suspected of being the perpetrators of the double stabbing that occurred on Sunday afternoon in this city.
It is suspected that brothers Romeo and Fabion Laze hit mother and son, NA and EA respectively, with hard objects, an event that occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, where at least 6 people were involved in the conflict.
Mother and son were hit with fists, sticks and hard objects, sustaining serious injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Saranda Hospital where they received first aid.
The police initially escorted 4 people, and after investigations arrested two of them for the criminal offense of "intentional serious injury in collaboration".
The arrested are Romeo Laze, 45, and Fabion Laze, 39, individuals with numerous criminal records. In May 2011, the Laze brothers were accused of injuring the two Avdiu brothers with hard objects.
In October 2014, Fabion Laze was arrested for "production and sale of narcotics."
In December 2015, Romeo Laze was arrested for "domestic violence" and "other intentional harm."
In August 2021, Romeo Laze was arrested for "production and sale of narcotics."
In February 2025, the Saranda Prosecution Office seized 2 properties, 2 vehicles and 1 business belonging to Romeo Laze. Meanwhile, Fabion Laze has criminal records in the field of narcotics, even abroad.
