A 41-year-old man declared internationally wanted by Spanish authorities has been arrested by the Elbasan Police, in cooperation with Interpol Tirana.
He is expected to be extradited to Spain, where he faces charges of cultivating narcotic plants and stealing electricity.
"The Traffic Police Services, in cooperation with specialists from the Trafficking and Narcotics Investigation Section of the Elbasan Police Department, based on information exchanged with Interpol Tirana, caught and arrested citizen EB, 41 years old , on the road to the village of Papër, while he was driving a vehicle.
According to Albanian authorities, this citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Court of Sabadell, Spain, on 30.06.2025, issued an arrest warrant for the criminal offenses of 'Cultivation of narcotic plants' and 'Theft of electricity', the police announced.
