Tirana Police have discovered a secret facility that served as a laboratory for the forgery of diplomas and official documents, as part of the operation codenamed "Laboratory".

Among the seized materials were school diplomas, university degrees and professional licenses. According to police, the premises were specifically adapted for the production of these documents.
Investigators are continuing their efforts to identify other individuals who may have been involved in this activity. The procedural materials were passed on to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
"An environment adapted as a laboratory for the forgery of high school diplomas, various universities, as well as professional licenses is discovered.
Hundreds of suspected forged documents and other illegal items used to carry out this criminal activity were seized.
A citizen is put in handcuffs.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, as a result of well-organized work, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Laboratory".
As a result of this operation, citizen AT, 51 years old, was arrested.
During the search of the 51-year-old's apartment in Zall-Bastar, police discovered a secret environment, converted into a laboratory for the production and forgery of high school diplomas, universities, master's programs and professional licenses.
Work is underway to identify other people involved in this activity.
" The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, " the police announced.
