Footage of the serious incident that occurred in the Lungomare area of Vlora has been published, where a pitbull attacked a 4-year-old girl, causing injuries to her head.
Video captured by security cameras at businesses near the scene shows the moment the dog moves freely in the area and then suddenly attacks the minor, who was in the company of her grandmother.
The footage shows that everything happens within a few seconds, while those present react immediately to intervene and remove the animal from the little girl. Thanks to the intervention of citizens, it was possible to separate the dog and avoid even more serious consequences.
As a result of the attack, the 4-year-old suffered head injuries and was immediately transported to the Vlora Regional Hospital, where she is receiving the necessary medical assistance.
Sources at the scene indicate that the dog is suspected to be ownerless and was roaming freely in the area. After the incident, the animal was kept tied up and is expected to be taken into administration by the relevant authorities to be sent to a special animal treatment center.
