The Court of Appeals with General Jurisdiction has changed the decision for Azgan Mrnica, sentencing him to 35 years in prison for the murder of police officer Novruz Cenalia, an event that occurred in May 2024 in Fier.
The appeal overturned the previous decision of the Fier Court, which on July 30, 2025 had sentenced the 24-year-old to life imprisonment. With the new decision, the sentence has been reduced to 35 years of imprisonment.
The crime occurred on May 13, 2024 in the village of Baltëz in Fier. According to the investigation, Mrnica and the "Eagle" force operative, Novruz Cenalia, confronted each other on the road connecting the villages of Baltëz and Dermenas.
At the time of the incident, Mrnica was traveling in a vehicle with her mother. The police officer asked her to slow down, as the road passes through a residential area.
According to the investigation file, Mrnica stopped the vehicle and got out with a gun in his hand, pointing it at the 29-year-old officer. He shot him three times, leaving him dead on the spot.
Defendant Azgan Mrnica is accused of several criminal offenses, including: "Murder of State Police employees", "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons and ammunition", "Irregular driving of vehicles".

Kane dhe para, me 100%! Ky milet nuk e njeh demokracine, do hu dhe kamzhik! Mire ja bente Dulla, e kishte kuptuar kete lloj race pellazgo-otomane! Te provoje te prekje policin ne ate kohe!
