In charge of Arben Grori, Albanian justice has another file where he was suspected of his involvement in a double murder committed in 2000.
In the end, he was acquitted of the charges for the event in question, but the episode became the trigger for opening old accounts with justice.
Edmond Murra and Saimir Cala were found dead inside a car in the area of Lundra on the outskirts of Tirana. 700 meters away from the crime scene, Arben Grori was handcuffed.
Meanwhile, the police caught the citizen Agron Tresa red-handed who was near the car with the two victims. A few meters away from the victims, next to a ferret, the crime weapon, a pistol, was also found. According to Agron Tresa's testimony, the execution was not carried out where they were found by the police.
The murder took place about 300 meters away. There are also blood stains on the road...
The murder happened after the two persons in question imposed a fine on Agron Tresa. In the morning of that day, Edmond Murra and Saimir Cala went to the hotel where Arben Grori and Agron Tresa were. They first asked Agron Tresa to get into the car with them and left. But after a few minutes they returned to take Arben Grori as well. According to the testimonies of the defendants, they had an argument on the way.
On the road, a fierce debate took place between Agron, Edmond and Saimir. The object of this debate was a large amount of money that they had imposed as a fine.
During this time, Arben Grori gets out of the car and the other three people continue on their way to Farka e Madhe. In the testimony given, Grori denied having participated in the crime. He stated that he heard the screams after getting out of the car.
I got off because Agron told me to get off because I have some work. They continued on their way and I stayed there for a few minutes, then I asked to leave in the direction of Lundra. I heard the sound of pistols and I turned back because I said that they will be busy and when I heard other shots I got scared and started to leave....
At the moment of arrest, Arben Grori did not resist. A few moments later, the police also stopped Agron Tresa. He took full responsibility, declaring that he committed the murder himself. Arben Grori also held the same version.
I did the killing alone with a pistol that I carry with me and it is without a permit. I was forced to commit this murder after Edmondi and Saimir cursed and punched me. I felt threatened because I had been fined 80 million lire.
