A serious incident occurred this Wednesday morning in the village of Arst, in the municipality of Fushë Arrëz, where a married couple was allegedly raped by several people involved in the cultivation of narcotics.
According to preliminary sources, Skënder Nika was initially attacked while returning from work to his apartment. The perpetrators are then suspected of also having abused his wife, Bardhe Nika.
The first suspicions are related to an anti-drug operation conducted about three weeks ago, during which the Police destroyed three plots planted with cannabis. Preliminary sources suggest that the couple may have signaled the authorities about the illegal activity.
Police forces have arrived at the scene and have launched investigations to identify the perpetrators and fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Meanwhile, the two injured have been transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance.
