81 kg of cannabis narcotics were seized at the border by the Greek police, as they are suspected to have come from Albania.
The operation that started near the green border ended in Grevena, where two vehicles were stopped after a long police chase.
The vehicles did not obey the Greek police's call to stop initially, the action which raised doubts among the officers. In one of the vehicles, 3 bags with 77 packages containing 81.5 kg of marijuana were found and seized. Meanwhile, the other vehicle was used to control the road, in order to avoid roadblocks. In the two vehicles, the police arrested 4 Greek citizens, who were in 2 separate vehicles, and also seized 6 mobile phones.
Since the beginning of the year, the Greek police have seized about 400 kg of marijuana, which is suspected to have come from Albania.
