One of the well-known names of the world of crime, Behar Bajri, will be extradited to our country today. France accepted Albania's request and decided to send him to Tirana two months after his arrest. He is accused of several criminal offenses in our country, including "Structured criminal group" and "Premeditated murder".

Bajri will arrive on a direct flight from France, in the evening, where he will be brought to Tirana, in a penal institution, under strict security measures.

In the following days, Bajri will appear in front of the black squads to familiarize himself with the security measure issued on July 28.

Investigations against Bajri and 14 others implicated in the "Metamorfoza" file started in 2019, after the dismantling of the "Sky" and "EnkroChat" networks by the partner countries, which brought their findings to our country.

In these communications, it appeared that the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, after he was released from prison through the bribe he gave to the prosecutor Xhevahir Lita, asked Behar Bajri to kill Keanth Musabelliu. Then Bajri exchanged targets with Ervis Martinaj and killed Gjon Boriči on his behalf.

His name also appears as the orderer of the murder of Ibrahim Lici, Dorian Duli and Genc Tafili, crimes which did not happen.

The accusations against Behar Bajri

Theft on 14.01.1999: On 14.01.1999 in the Dobraç neighborhood of the city of Shkodra, Behar Bajri, Ilir Bajri and Frederik Totaj, in cooperation with each other, are suspected of having committed the crime of armed robbery against two citizens from Berat, who have been traveling with a truck-type vehicle with a Vlora license plate.

Dated 14.01.1999: In the neighborhood "Vojo Kushi", the brothers Osman and Artur Alibali were shot dead. The suspected authors of this event turned out to be citizens Behar Bajri, Ilir Bajri and Frederik Totaj. This murder was committed immediately after the armed robbery against two citizens from Berat.

On 21.03.1999: Behar Bajri in cooperation with citizen Ilir Bajri attempted to commit armed robbery against Arben Tuzi and his brother. From the exchange of fire, the two sides injured each other.

Dated 28.01.2000: In the village of Dobraç, citizen Petrit Demiri, an employee of the Traffic Police at the Shkodër Police Station, was killed with a firearm. For this venal crime, the Court of First Instance of Shkodër sentenced him to only two years of imprisonment. The Court of Appeal for Serious Crimes in Tirana, with a decision dated February 27, 2007, sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment and a fine of 2 (two) million lek for committing the criminal offense of "coercion through threats or violence to give away property" ".

Dated 15.02.2001: Citizen Arben Tuzi, 39 years old from Shkodra, was shot dead in the Vasil Shanto neighborhood of the city of Shkodra. The suspected authors of this event turned out to be citizens Behar Bajri and Ilir Bajri.

Dated 26.06.2002: His wife Fabiola Bajri, 16 years old, was found murdered in Behar Bajri's apartment. From the investigative actions carried out, it turned out that in this case it was murder and not suicide as the family members stated. The suspected author of this murder is Behar Bajri.

On September 12, 2005 , in the city of Shkodra, where this citizen, through the imposition of a fine, sought to benefit unjustly the sum of 5 million new leks from a resident of the city of Shkodra. Behar Bajri (Rustemi) committed this crime in collaboration with his cousin Sead Rustemi.

Dated 18.08.2006: Citizen Behar Bajri has been accused of raping two minor girls, a crime he committed in collaboration with another person. For this event, the Shkodër District Court had set the security measure "imprisonment" under the charge of "illegal deprivation of liberty in cooperation", violent sexual relations with minors aged 14-18".

The murder of Fabiola Bajri in her sleep:  Behar Bajri is accused of killing Fabiola Bajri on June 20, 2002 in her sleep. They were engaged for 3 months, although Fabiola was a minor. The engagement was done with the approval of the family, while after three months he kidnapped her and took her to his house. According to the data, the murder happened after she asked him for permission to go somewhere. Bajri refused and faced the emotional outburst of the minor. The same sources clarify that he is accused of killing her in her sleep with a bullet in the back. Despite the fact that the event was reported as a suicide, all of Shkodra accuses Behar Bajri. After the murder, he fled Albania, and so did the young woman's family. They felt threatened by Bajri who had told them that if they did not leave, then he would kill them. The murder of the minor was revealed by the position of the bullet that he had received, which was below the forearm. While the pistol, found in Bajri's apartment, turned out to be the weapon used in the murder of Fabiola and Arben Tuzi.
