Other details emerge from the tragic event that shocked Volos in Greece, where Pandeli Nakoleci, massacred his wife, Marjola, with whom they had 4 children, with a cutting tool. Nakoleci, 40, was arrested this morning, very close to the apartment where he committed the macabre crime a few days ago, in front of minor children.
While the main motive for the crime is suspected to be jealousy, Greek media are writing about a secret the couple had, which apparently was reminded to the author by the cohabitant.
Volos remains shocked after the heinous crime committed by a 40-year-old man, who cold-bloodedly murdered his 36-year-old wife and the mother of their four children.
This morning, the perpetrator was taken to the prosecutor's office under draconian security measures, wearing a bulletproof vest and with his head bowed.
He is said to have told his daughter, who visited him: "I got angry and killed her, I didn't mean to do it." And then asked her: "Do you know if your mother cheated on me?"
"He raped her repeatedly so she wouldn't get a divorce"
The sister of the 36-year-old woman who was murdered, stated in a shocking testimony that "my sister fell in love with this bastard from a young age. When he had children, he changed. He became abusive. He would beat her, rape her so she wouldn't divorce him. He would go and have abortions all the time. He would tell her 'if you divorce me, I'll do worse'".
"For many years we didn't talk (to the authorities) and it's our fault. Because I was telling my sister to get a divorce, but she was afraid. I did everything I could to help her, with money, but she couldn't afford four children," the victim's sister recounts.
"He would tell the children: 'Don't interfere, shut up' and hit him in front of them," she added.
The 40-year-old is "remorseful and devastated."
The 40-year-old's lawyer, Vasilis Noulezas, stressed that his client "is undoubtedly remorseful and devastated, because he killed with his own hands the woman he loved and with whom he created a family and brought four children to life."
Regarding the first statement to the police that "I disturbed her, I killed her and I don't regret anything," the lawyer spoke of "possible provocative behavior by the 36-year-old towards her partner." The lawyer says his client "lost his cool and committed this ugly crime."
"Regarding his psychiatric past, he had been hospitalized in the past. Most likely it was an involuntary hospitalization, at the request of his wife. The tragedy is that a young woman lost her life. He should have shown calm, opened a new page in his life, without using violence," the lawyer said.
The couple's secret
The perpetrator was jealous of his wife's every move. The couple had a secret, which they kept well hidden for several months, regarding their relationship, as reported by the STAR . More importantly, however, shortly before the murder, the victim allegedly specifically mentioned this secret. This seems to have angered the 40-year-old and led to his murder. /Pamphlet/
