A serious incident shook the city of Shkodra on Sunday afternoon, where the lifeless body of a 26-year-old man was found in the waters of Lake Shkodra, in the Shiroka area.
According to the official announcement, at around 18:40, the Operations Room of the Shkodra Regional Directorate of Environmental Control signaled the presence of a corpse in the lake, discovered by several fishermen, who immediately notified the authorities.
The victim has been identified as IL, 26 years old. Sources from the investigation team indicate that the young man is suspected of having suffered from depression. Preliminary examinations have found no signs of violence on his body, raising suspicions that it may be an act of suicide.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for forensic expertise, while the police and the investigative group from the Shkodra Police Station are continuing their work to fully clarify the circumstances.
