A serious incident occurred today in Tirana. A girl of about 16 years old lost her life after allegedly throwing herself from a building under construction on "Gjon Buzuku" Street.
The police announced that the incident occurred on October 1, 2025 and that the victim has not yet been identified. “The investigation team is working to identify her, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the case,” the official statement from the blue uniforms reads.
This tragedy comes just a few days after another alarming case in Saranda, where a 15-year-old girl jumped from a building, but fortunately survived.
The two consecutive events raise concerns about the scale of the phenomenon of suicide among minors, while experts are calling for more attention and psychological support for adolescents.
