A fatal workplace accident has claimed the life of an Albanian citizen in Italy. Murat Tafçiu, 52, lost his life after falling from a scaffold while working at a construction site.
The incident occurred in the presence of his colleagues, who immediately notified the emergency services. The ambulance quickly arrived at the scene, but the injuries sustained proved fatal for the 52-year-old.
The construction company, based in Carpi, reacted by expressing condolences to the victim's family and confirmed that it is cooperating with authorities to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Modena, Massimo Mezzetti, declared: "I express my deepest condolences to the family and colleagues of the worker who lost his life this morning while working on a construction site in the historic center of the city."
Authorities have launched investigations to determine whether occupational safety standards were respected and to clarify the causes of this serious incident.
