Journalist Aida Topalli spoke about the extradition to Albania of the leader of the first cocaine cartel, Dritan Rexhepi. She said that based on his history, his successful extradition to our country is a good thing.
She also said that Rexhepi has spent most of his life in prison and has still managed to continue trafficking cocaine to EU countries.
According to Topalli, shortly before his arrest in Turkey, Dritan Rexhepi was planning to start trafficking cocaine to Russia and China, but this plan failed as a result of his arrest and extradition to Albania.
"The moment Dritan Rexhepi was handed over to the Albanian police and justice system by the Turkish state, I would consider it one of the greatest achievements in terms of extraditions in terms of his history. Rexhepi's crimes date back to 1999, when he was suspected, tried and convicted of the murder and wounding of several officers."
