Ibrahim Lici, arrested on February 13 in Turkey, is reported to have agreed with one of the most famous Turkish lawyers.
Journalist Klodiana Lala has discovered that through his legal representative, Lici seeks to change the measure imposed on him. This action raises questions as to whether Lici will be extradited to Albania to face Albanian justice or will be released.
We remind you that Lici was wanted because he is accused of murdering Endri Mustafa. At the time of his arrest, Lici was in the apartment of a friend of his in Istanbul, while during the search, a gun, 50 cartridges, forged documents in the name of a Belgian citizen were found.
Arrest and charges of murder
The Turkish police tracked down Ibrahim Lic following a confidant of his who traveled from Albania to meet him.
Ibrahim Lici was wanted internationally by the Albanian authorities, since May 2021 after the execution by firing squad of Endri Mustafa.
He fled to the Turkish state since 2021 and has been hiding there since then. Ibrahim Lici is accused of being involved in at least three murders in the city of Shkodra, including the Bilali brothers, which happened on May 30, 2019.
At the time, the killing was said to be due to clashes between criminal gangs in the northern city. Ibrahim Lici is the son of Mustafa Lici, former member of the Municipal Council of Shkodra.
