The police escorted 25 people related to the execution of 43-year-old Gentian Bejtja, to be questioned about the incident.
Three days after the mafia execution in Fushë-Kruje, the police still have no names of suspected perpetrators of the crime.
The Blues have started the analysis focusing on the examination of security cameras in the area as well as on the testimonies of the escorted persons.
According to the sources, it is learned that the police have not obtained data that will lead them to the perpetrators of this crime. The accomplices were released as there is no evidence to incriminate them. Of interest to the investigative group is the question of well-known characters of the world of crime in Fushë-Kruje, who happened abroad.
The four killers, who the police believe were paid, had started organizing the assassination after the failed attempt to eliminate Bejtja. It is about the incident where his brother-in-law lost his life and the children were injured, the assassination in which the 43-year-old was targeted. The provision of the means to commit the crime began about a month after the July assassination attempt at Bejtja's house.
In August, the perpetrators stole the vehicle in Shkodër and the license plates in Tirana. The perpetrators are suspected to have cooperated with other people, not only to drive them away after burning the car, but also to stop the electricity in the area, when the murder was carried out. This has caused most of the perpetrators' movements to go undocumented.
The former prison policeman was shot dead on Friday afternoon in his apartment in the village of Larushk in Fushë-Kruja. The 43-year-old was in his parents' apartment, next to his house. He was shot with a barrage of bullets while crossing the common gate with his parents' apartment.
Beitja escaped 2 other assassinations, in 2016 and in 2022. Asked about some criminal events, Bejtja was also investigated for the murder of chief commissioner Dritan Lamaj after he was accused of stealing the car that was used in the murder together with Enver Stafuka. Both were found not guilty by the Court for lack of evidence.
